MyPeerMentor project was presented and disseminated at International conference entitled “Let’s make our society more inclusive via raising the awareness towards disability of the youth community”. The event took place on 23 May 2019 in the European capital of culture 2019 – Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Among the 120 attendees of the event were young people with and without disabilities, youth workers, teachers and special educators, NGO representatives, students, social workers and Regional authority’s representatives. Zgura-M took the chance to distribute MyPeerMentor leaflets and printed newsletters.
On May 10, 2019 in Plovdiv was held a meeting on the topic: “Sessions with representatives of local business” on the project: “Accelerating the integration of the labor market of immigrants by identifying skills and training”, VS / 2017/0448 , which was attended by 10 representatives, including those from “Zgura-M”.
Zgura-M Ltd. took part in the 8th European Forum for Social Entrepreneurship (part of the Plovdiv International Fair) in the period between 28 and 31 March 2019. This forum is one of the largest annual events in the field of social economy and entrepreneurship, organized in Bulgaria, and is annually visited by thousands of people from Bulgaria and Europe. During the forum, the team members of Zgura-M Ltd. had the chance to meet many people of different backgrounds and profiles, including representatives of socially vulnerable groups, politicians, experts from the state administration and others. and present them with the idea of the Toolkit4RPL project and the results achieved so far.
Dissemination of the Y4B project during Annual International Fair of Social Enterprises, 28-31 March 2019.
Within the period 28th – 31st March 2019 Zgura-M had a stand during the VIII International fair on Social Entrepreneurship. This is an annual event held in Plovdiv Fair, Bulgaria where Nonprofit Organisations and Social Enterprises & cooperatives demonstrate their services and products with social impact. This 4-days event included thematic presentations, exhibitions, demonstrations, roundtables. More than 110 social enterprises from 7 countries presented their activities. The team of Zgura-M was pleased to discuss with some of the social entrepreneurs the important role of the mentoring in the social entrepreneurship nowadays.
Zgura-M team took the chance to introduce MyPeerMentor project and to distribute the project leaflets. The visitors of the fair (more than 2000) were familiarized with the project concept and intellectual outputs and those interested were included in a list for further contacts.
The University of Ruse organized a seminar on the process of validation of previous training experience
On March 14, 2019, the University of Ruse hosted a workshop dedicated to the topic of recognition and validation of previous training experience in Bulgaria. Zgura-M Ltd., as an organization with knowledge and experience in the field of validation and recognition of previous training experience in Bulgaria and Europe, was invited and took an active part in the planned activities and discussions.
Zgura-M introduced the project at European Conference On Socio-professional Rehabilitation, organized by Rehabilitation International (RI), the European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR) and the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (NIHDI) on 7 March 2019 in Brussels, Belgium.
Zgura-M together with Sofia University introduced the ALMIT project at joint training entrepreneurship sessions held in Athens, Greece on 21-22 February 2019.
On January 7-8, 2019, the team of “ZGURA-M” participates in the first international partnership meeting under the Y4B project. All steps for the creation of intellectual products were discussed, and activities for the next six months were also planned.
On 3-4th December, 2018 the European commission in partnership with the European Disability Forum has been running International conference dedicated to European Day of Persons with Disabilities. Zgura-M team have had the unique chance to attend the event in Brussels as the participation is on invitation only. We were guests on a special stand where we demonstrated SEYMM training program and the project website. Among the visitors were more than 250 key stakeholders like policy makers, representatives of umbrella organizations, people with disabilities, and other professionals working in the field of inclusion. During the two days we made useful contacts and agreements for future collaboration with organizations that are interested in innovative training content.
